This Return Policy explains how you can change your mind about a purchase on our webshop and return the product. This is called the right of withdrawal. Please always read this policy together with our Terms and Conditions, which form the legal basis of every order.
Is your product defective or not what we agreed? Then please refer to our Warranty and Support Policy.
You may cancel your purchase within 14 days, without giving a reason and without penalty.
The period of 14 days starts on the day after you, or someone you have appointed other than the carrier, physically receive the product. Did you order several products together and are they delivered separately? Then the period starts on the day after you receive the last product.
You may also withdraw before delivery, for example while a preorder or backorder is still on its way.
Let us know clearly that you want to withdraw, before the period of 14 days ends. You can do this in one of the following ways.
Please clearly indicate what products you want to return, and clearly mention your order number, so we can help you quickly. It is enough to send your notice before the period ends. If you withdraw through the form on our webshop, we confirm receipt by email as soon as possible.
Send the product back to us as soon as possible and in any event within 14 days after the day you submitted your withdrawal request. The address is NightSkyOptics BV, Mariakerksesteenweg 114/C, 9031 Ghent, Belgium. You meet the deadline if you hand the product to the carrier before those 14 days have ended.
You pay the direct cost of the return shipment. Where possible, please use the original packaging. Astronomy equipment is fragile and the original packaging protects it best. For telescopes, mounts, cameras and other valuable equipment we strongly recommend a tracked and insured shipping service. You bear the risk of the return shipment until we have received the product.
On request we can offer you a return label through our shipping platform Sendcloud. If you choose to use it, we deduct the cost of the label from your refund. We tell you that cost in advance.
We refund everything you paid for the order, including the standard delivery costs. Did you choose a more expensive delivery method than our cheapest standard delivery? Then we refund the amount of the standard delivery.
We refund within 14 days after the day you told us that you withdraw. We may wait with the refund until we have received the product back, or until you show us proof that you have sent it, whichever comes first. Did you withdraw before we shipped the product? Then there is nothing to return and we simply refund you within 14 days.
We refund through the same payment method you used, unless you expressly agree to another method. The refund is free of charge.
During the withdrawal period you may unpack, inspect and test the product to see what it is and how it works, just as you would in a physical shop.
Did you use the product more than that, and did it lose value as a result? Then we may deduct that loss of value from your refund. We do not apply fixed penalty percentages. If we make a deduction, we explain it to you.
By law (article VI.53 of the Code of Economic Law) the right of withdrawal does not apply to, among others, the following products.
Where an exception applies to a product, we say so on the product page and at checkout, before you place your order.
The right of withdrawal applies in exactly the same way to preordered and backordered products, including products with a longer delivery time. You may withdraw at any time before delivery and up to 14 days after delivery, unless a legal exception applies, for example for products made to order.
